Using a Steamer to Remove Wrinkles From Tablecloths

As I’ve said earlier that, this one is my favorite method of removing wrinkles and creases from clothes, and there’re some good reasons behind this feeling.

First, it’s safe for most types of delicate garments and takes no time to apply. On top of that, it’s better than ironing which is quiet boring and time consuming. Another best things about using a clothes steamer is the faster drying time after steam cleaning.

Curious, how to steam a wrinkled polyester tablecloth with a clothes steamer? Let’s get to it!

The Process:

• You can use any clothes steamer or portable travel steamer in this process. Just make sure that, it comes with low temperature setting.

• Hang your polyester tablecloth on a clothesline or towel rack.

• Fill the steamer with distilled water and allow it to heat up.

• Once the steamer is ready, select the lowest heat setting.

• Next, you can apply steam going from top to the bottom. Do not let the steam nozzle to get too close to the fabric when steaming. The heat may cause scorching to the delicate polyester.

• Repeat steaming until all of the wrinkles are gone.

• Hang the tablecloth up to dry completely.

Ironing Polyester Tablecloths to Remove Creases And Folds

Before putting the iron on your polyester tablecloth, run a test on a small area of the tablecloth to make sure that it can handle the heat without melting.

Step 2: Place a damp towel over the table clothes. The towel should be damp not wet.

Step 3: Press the iron down onto the towel covered areas of the tablecloth. Apply firm, even pressure as you move the iron back and forth.

Step 4: Remove the towel and check the tablecloth for wrinkles. If there are still some wrinkles, repeat steps 3 until they are all gone.

Use a Hair Dryer to Remove Creases Quickly from a Polyester Tablecloths

Apart from the above methods you can also use a hairdryer to get stubborn creases out of your tablecloth. It also works surprisingly well.

First, hang the tablecloth in a clothesline. After that, spritz the table cloth with some water. This will help the fabric to get soften.

Next, hold the hair dryer at least 6 inches away from the table cloth and blast hot air in the tablecloth. The heat will penetrates the fiber so that they can get back to their original shape after the fabric cool.

What’s a wrinkles release spray?

A wrinkle release spray is a product that is sprayed on clothes to help them look less wrinkled. The product contains chemicals that help the fabric relax and smooth out the wrinkles.

Many people like to use wrinkle release spray because it can help their clothes look neater without having to spend a lot of time ironing them.

How to make a wrinkle release spray at home to remove wrinkles from polyester tablecloth?

To make a homemade wrinkle releaser, you’ll need to mix two cup of warm water with 1 tsp of hair conditioner and 1 tsp of white vinegar in a spray bottle. Next, give the mixer a little shake so that the ingredients get mix together.

How to apply?
